A user over at NeoGAF found something of great interest to classic RPG fans today - Sega has seemingly renewed the trademark for one of its most beloved games, Skies of Arcadia.

Originally released on the Dreamcast and later revised for the GameCube, Skies of Arcadia stars the sky pirate Vyse and his adventure to stop the Valuan Empire from reviving ancient weapons with the potential to destroy the world.

Is Sega working on another Valkyria Chronicles game?

The latest batch of trademark filings (via AndriaSang) might hint toward exactly that. A listing for "Valkyria Duel" was filed in Japan, perhaps suggesting the next game in the Valkyria series is a fighting game.

That's all speculation of course, but a change in genre and platform might be just what the franchise needs, especially since Valkyria Chronicles 3 never made it overse...

Valkyria Chronicles DLC dated and priced for Europe

Sega have today announced the release date and pricing for the Downloadable Content for Strategy RPG Valkyria Chronicles in Europe.

The DLC will arrive on April 16th, and will retail for £3.19 or £3.99 each.
