White Knight Chronicles II and Portable Coming to the West

After various leaks by voice actors, the official word is finally here: White Knight Chronicles II and White Knight Portable will be crossing the ocean to be enjoyed by those who don't speak the Japanese language.

Not many details are known as of yet as far as release specifications--it still isn't clear if it's coming to the United States yet (but it probably is), but the European PlayStation Blog did share some details on what we should expect from both games.

27 new White Knight Chronicles 2 Screenshots

Sony Computer Entertainment over in Japan have just released 27 new screenshots of White Knight Chronicles 2 for the PS3, officially subtitled Awakening of Light and Darkness.

The game is set to arrive in Japan early next month, and includes the original game in its entirety in the box for no extra fee. More interesting still newcomers will have to complete the first game before getting their hands on the sequel's storyline. Those with an old save game can use that.

White Knight Chronicles 2 is due out in Japan in a mere few months, and the hype machine is ramping up with the release of lots of information about the game, including over 70 new shots of the sequel in action.

Sony's confirmed that White Knight Chronicles 2 will launch over in Japan on July 8th this year at a price of 6980 Yen.

The sequel will come packed with a bunch of extras that will unlock new and exclusive equipment for those who own the first game, and players will also be able to carry over their custom-made character, cash, items and other bits and pieces to the sequel as long as you've finished the original.
