Yesterday, Square Enix rounded out their Final Fantasy 25th anniversary celebrations with a panel on the future of the series. While the majority of it consisted of developers answering fan questions and a brief history of visual works, some important words of course managed to be said.

In more non-news, Famitsu provided a bit more to Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada's Versus XIII mention during the FF 25th anniversary ceremonies.

In addition to confirming the game was indeed still in the works, Wada said, “When [the game] reaches the level where it gives you that nostalgic, “this is Final Fantasy!” feeling, I want to show it to everyone.”

Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy Versus XIII remains in development.
